August 2025 Opulo Update
Hey everyone, happy August! Here's what we've been doing at Opulo this month: Lead Times We're getting ready to bring our official lead times down a bit after having spun up some considerable new infrastructure and hired some folks on. Some production expansion And yet, like clockwork, we've seen a huge spike in order volume that makes it even harder to work down this backlog. July 2025 Opulo Update
Hey folks, happy July! Here's what's been going on at Opulo this month: Lead Times As I mentioned in last month's update, we took some action to more aggressively bring our lead times down, and now we're starting to see the results of this! Our ratio of LumenPnP/Feeder demand has shifted, so we've been spinning up new workstations and training technicians to keep up with the new balance. Hey everybody, happy June! Here's what's been going on at Opulo this month: Lead Times Our lead times are still unchanged from last month, but quite a bit has happened just to keep them from getting longer! We've hit quite a growth spurt this spring, and we've been reorganizing how our manufacturing line operates to be more efficient, and hiring more help over the past couple months to accommodate the increased demand. Hi everyone, and happy May! Here's your monthly Opulo update: Lead Times While we have managed to pull ahead a bit on our lead time internally, the past month's volume of orders has been overwhelming. It's been everything we can do to just keep it the same as what it was last month. Fewer Restrictions: Updating LumenPnP Licensing
When I started the LumenPnP project in 2020, I selected a common license that seemed right, and continued with development. I chose GNU GPL v3, and the LumenPnP (along with all associated projects) have been fully licensed with it for their entire existence. GNU GPLv3 is what’s known as a “viral” license, where (roughly speaking) anything it touches is forced into being fully open source as well.
